“Weighting” It Out…

June 24, 2013 — Leave a comment

It’s only Monday and I’m ready for the weekend to be here already.  I’ve been so busy the last couple of days.  It could have been easily one of those times

I'm feeling good today!

I’m feeling good today!

when I put my exercise on the back burner in lieu of paperwork and meetings–but I didn’t.  I got in several Spin classes over the last couple of days and one of my sprint-walks.  The most disturbing part of the last few days is that I’ve haven’t lost any weight. 😦  I’ve been at the same 224.8 pounds for three days.  Has my food in take changed?  No.  Have I added any different foods?  No.  Have I cheated in the slightest bit?  No.  Am I frustrated?  Yes!  I’m assuming that my body is going through some natural adjustment and I just have to a wait it out, or rather “weight” it out.  I really killed it in Spin class this morning and I cut my calories c slightly, so I’m hoping to lose something tomorrow morning.  I’m sooooooo close to a total of 30 pounds lost I can taste it.  I literally only have one pound to go to mark 30 pounds lost!  I can feel the pressure I’m putting on myself to lose weight every day.  I can feel it and I always try to remember that this is a 10k run and not a 100-yard dash.  I’m in it for the long haul and I need to be kind to myself and keep on moving.  I like how I’m feeling and it’s nice to start getting a shape back again that isn’t round.  I like the way my face is thinning out.  I’m starting yo feel like I’m getting back to my normal body.  Yes, I still have a way to go, but I’m starting to see the a bit of faint light at the end of the far away tunnel.

My NEW favorite meal...

My NEW favorite meal…

My new favorite meal is baked herb chicken breast on top of assorted greens, tomato, avocado, fresh basil and dressed a homemade mustard-garlic vinaigrette.  I think I could eat that salad every day and not get tired of it.  It’s so dang yummy!  I usually cook 5-6 chicken breasts ahead of time and just pull one out when I need it for a meal.  They are very moist.  I bake the breasts squished together (i.e., very tightly packed) in a glass baking dish and I baste them at least three times the hour and fifteen minute cooking time.

Alright, that’s all for today.  My eyes are getting heavy and I need to go to sleep.  Okay, here I go now…
