It never ceases to amazing how much of an impact food has on our complete well-being. Just five days into this “cleanse” and I feel…well…cleaner. I started to notice changes in my skin. I used to have little micro pimples on my forehead. No one could really see them, but I could feel them when I shaved. They are all but gone at this point. I also used to have really sensitive skin. For example, if I had an itch on my neck or arm and gently scratched it, I would immediately get red and bumpy. People would look at me and ask, “Oh my gosh what happened to you? Are you okay?” I would reply, “Yes, I just have sensitive skin…” I always suspected that it had something to with some food I had in my diet. I would go as far as to say that it was somehow related to gluten. In fact after reading a particular article on gluten and itchy skin, I’m convinced that I am gluten intolerant. I don’t know if I as bad as someone with Celiac disease, but I do have enough of the symptoms that I know that gluten and me are not a happy couple. Here is the link to one of the articles I read:
